The Muse New York has commissioned a striking series of original works by multidisciplinary artist Markus Sebastiano, now featured throughout the hotel’s lobby. Known for his distinctive fusion of digital art, spray paint, acrylics, and resin, Sebastiano brings a layered, cinematic aesthetic to this high-traffic, design-forward space in the heart of Manhattan.
Created specifically for The Muse, the commissioned series reflects themes of memory, identity, and the vibrant energy of urban life. The featured artworks include:
City in Her Eyes – A large-scale portrait capturing the duality of urban strength and vulnerability, layered with texture and bold, cinematic tones.

A three-part series comprised of:
Neon Nostalgia
Gridlock Dreams
Electric Memory
These works explore memory, chaos, and light through vibrant color and abstract form, echoing the sensory overload of life in the city.

Echoes on Broadway – Displayed in the glass case installation, this piece brings together vintage imagery and modern technique, reflecting the layered history and ongoing reinvention of New York’s iconic theater district.

Sebastiano’s collaboration with The Muse is part of the hotel’s commitment to showcasing creative voices and embracing its ethos of #InspirationEverywhere. The bold visual statement made by his work transforms the guest experience into something unexpected—where art doesn’t just decorate the space but defines it.
Sebastiano is the founder of Blochaus Art Gallery in Newburyport, MA, and continues to work on high-profile commissions and brand partnerships across the country. His installations aim to disrupt traditional viewing spaces and offer immersive, thought-provoking encounters with contemporary art.
